Etymology
From Latinized Greek Graecus, from Ancient Greek ELchar|��αικ�� (Graikos), a character in Greek mythology (a son of w:Thessalos|Thessalos, the king of w:Phthia|Phthia), whom ELchar|�λλά� (Hellas), Greece, and ELchar|�λληνε� (Hellenes), Greeks, were also named after; see also ELchar|�λλην and Hellen.
