Usage notes
The spelling italbrac|Islmic is far less common than italbrac|Islamic; however, some scholars assert that it implies a more correct pronunciation (with a long : IPAchar|[], as opposed to a short a: as IPAchar|[æ]). It is standard in the publications of The Muslim Education Trust; as, for example, in the 1998 [5th Ed.] publication of Islm: Beliefs and Teachings, by Ghulam Sarwar (ISBN: 0907261035).
