- The former and still widely used<ref>For example the US government still uses it (as of March 15, 2007; CIA - The World Factbook)</ref> spelling of the largest city and former capital of Myanmar (Burma). The spelling Yangon is preferred by the Burmese and has also become widely accepted. The administrative capital has been moved to Naypyidaw or Nay Pyi Taw.
