  1. (also known as the Feast of Weeks) A Jewish holiday, seven weeks and one day after Yom Habikkurim, originally a harvest festival but, for over 1800 years, also commemorating the anniversary of the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses and the Israelites at Mount Sinai.
