Complete Definition of "cinematography"

English
wikipedia

Etymology
Cinematography comes from the Greek words κίνημα (kinema) and -γαία (-graphia).

ίνημα means revolution and was used by mistake instead of the correct greek word κίνηι (kinesis) wich means movement. Both of these words come from the word κιν (kino) = move, hence the mistake was easy to make.

-γαία comes from the verb γά (write) and therefore indicates a technique for depicting something on a surface (paper, canvas, film, stage etc).

Therefore the appropriate word would be cinesiography.
