The letter term|d is used in the International Phonetic Alphabet, in the alphabets of many languages, and in several romanization systems of non-Latin scripts to represent the w:Voiced alveolar plosive|voiced alveolar plosive (IPA|/d/). In some languages and transcription systems where unaspirated stops contrast with aspirated stops, term|d represents an unaspirated IPAchar|/t/, while term|t represents an aspirated IPAchar|/tÊ°/.
