:Among the Klingon-speaking community, "Klingonese" is usually understood to refer to the non-canon language that is described in w:John_M._Ford|John M. Ford's Star Trek novels as w:Klingonaase|Klingonaase and not to the official w:Klingon language|Klingon language devised by w:Marc Okrand|Marc Okrand for the TV series and films.
