Etymology
From L. metaphysica < Byzantine Greek polytonic|με�α���ικά (metaphusika) < AGr. polytonic|με�ά (meta) "after" + polytonic|���ικ�� (phusikos) "natural". The word derives from the title of the collection by Aristotle "με�ὰ �ὰ ���ικά" (after the natural things).
