Etymology: The origin and meaning of the name "Amuzgo" is unclear, and there are several theories. It seems likely that the name comes from one of the many Nahuatl languages (w:Uto-Aztecan languages, Uto-Aztecan language family): (1) One claim says that it comes from (Nahu.)
